Banana leaves are widely used in Southeast Asia to prepare e.g. steamed fish. The leaves are then used to wrap the ingredient and then steam or grill it on a BBQ. It looks fantastic fun, of course, but it also gives extra nutrients and a little bit of flavour to your dish in addition. Another application for banana leaves is to use them as plates or 'tablecloths'. In Filipino cuisine, Boodlefights are held in this way, where the table is covered with banana leaves and the whole table is then filled with all kinds of delicious fresh dishes, which you can eat right off the table.The banana leaves in this package are approximately 1.20 metres long and about 30 cm wide. A pack usually contains 3 to 5 large leaves and usually some smaller pieces of leaves. Please note that obviously this is a natural product and dimensions may vary.
